CrioYa supports Indigenous Artists

We are super excited for our upcoming trip to Costa Rica. July 24th-Aug 1st, 2011.
We will be visiting many parts of Costa Rica. One of our highlights will be a trip to Galeria Namu, the premire fair trade gallery for indigenous crafts and folk art of Central America.

The name Namu according the the gallery, is the Bribri word for jaguar, the sacred animal to so may tribes of Central America. This name addresses one aspect of our mission-- to respect and celebrate the permanence and legacy of the first people of this land.

Costa rica is know for it's adventure travel. But, it is rich in cultural diversity and love for the land. Enjoy the images that can be found on Facebook or at the website.

Join us on our next trip.

Loiza

The Afro presence in the Americas fascinates me. This is the 2011 the year of the Africa Descendant. We, at CrioYa, honor our african legacy. We advocate for the rights of African Descendants. We, delight, share, preserve and enjoy the gifts of our people. Every trip that CrioYa designs will honor the african presence in the places we journey. Peace, connection and One Love.
